Christianity Explored’s growing global impact

CE training in the MENA region

Many churches in the UK have been using the various evangelistic courses developed by Christianity Explored Ministries for several years. There are an increasing number of countries who now have access to them in their native languages.

Following the launch of Christianity Explored (CE) in Albania in May, the evangelistic course has had a major impact across the nation.

People saved

80 church pastors attended the launch, and since CE was translated in full into the Albanian language, 140 leaders have been trained in running CE courses. Over 1,500 course notebooks have been distributed in 52 churches; six courses have finished and a further 26 are ongoing. Most importantly, and most excitingly, 36 participants have already accepted Christ.

Albania is a tough mission field. The country has seen chronic social, economic and political collapse since the fall of Communism in 1991, jobs are few and many people have emigrated from one of the poorest countries in Europe. Many churches are poor, with very few resources, but the mission field is currently ripe for harvest. The country is 60-70% Islamic, but most Muslims are nominal believers and there is much local interest in Christianity.

Arabic version

Churches in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region have been using Christianity Explored (CE) resources in Arabic to reach new believers and build up those who are already Christians, it was reported in November.

Christians in the MENA countries have been grateful for the materials as they had ‘prayed for ten years that God will send us a tool like this’.

A large group attended a workshop held in Minya, days after several Christians had been killed by extremists.

An attendee from Egypt said: ‘I enjoyed attending the CE workshop. I’ve also enjoyed teaching this course to many groups at my church. The age of the participants ranged between 18 and 45. Their interaction with the content was great and very encouraging.’
