A pro-abortion activist has created a controversial foetus-killing computer game as part of a long campaign to legalise abortion in Argentina, which was voted through in December 2020.
The law change resulted in crowds rejoicing in the street, whilst neighbouring Paraguay held a minute’s silence for all the lives of the unborn who will be lost due to Argentina’s vote.
The President of the Evangelical Baptist Confederation, Hugo Márquez, said: ‘With the law on the Legal Termination of Pregnancy we are adding more pain to this 2020’.
The Christian Alliance of Evangelical Churches of Argentina (ACIERA) also regretted the decision, pointing out that ‘Argentina has moved back centuries of civilisation and respect for the supreme right to life’.
According to ACIERA: ‘The “light-blue kerchiefs” (pro-life supporters) were not heard, much less taken into account. However, that immense mass of people who supports the two lives does not give up – we continue to stand, because our convictions do not change.’
The computer game is a modification for the famous 1990s video game, Doom, but the player completes the game by shooting an unborn baby with a shotgun. The game then displays the message: ‘You defeated fetito [little foetus]! Give this Misoprostol [the drug used for medical abortion] to those in need so they might defeat it too!’
In addition to the shooting of the unborn, the player first kills pro-life women, Catholic priests and police.
The violent nature of the game wasn’t universally endorsed by abortion supporters. One commenter, voicing their disapproval on gaming site Kotaku, said: ‘Very much pro-choice myself but I feel [that] creating a violent shooting video game where the goal is to abort a giant foetus with a shotgun might be sending the wrong message.’
