Visiting opportunities

Dear Sir,

My wife and I recently attended the funeral of an aunt who had been living alone, was blind, and who did not get many visitors.

The funeral was conducted in the nearby parish church, and the vicar admitted in the service that he didn’t know her. We are sure that had our relative been visited by someone from the church, they would have had a good welcome.

Parish churches still have a lot of respect, and evangelical Anglican churches have a great opportunity to make contact with people like our aunt. It would be interesting to hear of any door-to-door visiting programmes that are happening in parishes in Britain.

Yours sincerely
