Dear Editor,
Many thanks to George Crowder for his thoughts (‘Four myths about contending for the truth in the CofE’, en April 2025) based on Jude 3-4, which, as he alludes to in his first point, does not solely affect the CofE. However, I would suggest that the grass IS greener in some other structures such as Newfrontiers, Vineyard, etc.
I for one do not regret leaving the CofE behind and moving to a new fellowship that seeks to focus on bringing God’s hope to a local community rather than protecting the hierarchy or accepting humanist ideology.
Being a bit tardy with my reading of the March issue, may I pass on my thanks to Glen Scrivener for his monthly articles as he takes a break. I’ve always found them helpful, encouraging and sometimes challenging. I pray for God’s blessing on his new challenge but look forward to him returning with fresh experiences to share in due course.
Yours sincerely,
Toby Braddick,
