The world can be divided into two types of people: the planners and the deadliners.

The planners get straight to the most important task, they stay calm, they work out the process and they pull together the team to get it done.

The deadliners ignore the task until a few hours before the deadline and then go slightly mad trying to pull it together (alone) at the last moment. I am the latter. Many of those in children’s and families’ ministry seem to be the former. When we asked them when they wanted us to release our Christmas resources we were told it needs to be July or August. That means we were writing about angels, shepherds, and presents under the tree in May! I could not get along with it. I just had to wince my way through it until the moment we launched our Lego-themed Christmas resources. The response has been great. (I want to say ‘weird’, but I am trying to learn).
