Ten years after the death of Elisabeth Elliot

The Elisabeth Elliot Foundation is celebrating its fifth anniversary ten years after the death of the renowned Christian missionary and author.

The foundation exists to bring together the work of Elliot, her late husband Jim, and their daughter Valerie.

Elliot, who died aged 88, inspired a generation of Christians after the murder of her husband Jim when they were serving as missionaries to an unreached tribe in Ecuador in 1956.

After her husband’s death, Elliot continued the couple’s gospel ministry in the Amazon jungle. She went on to publish numerous books including “Through the Gates of Splendour” and “Passion and Purity.”
