IN CHRIST:
In him together for the world

At less than 100 pages, this book would be easy to dismiss – after all, how can you really explore what the Bible says about our union with Christ in such a short space?
To dismiss it would be a mistake, however, as this is a thoroughly readable, highly practical volume on a vitally important subject. The authors state their aim as being ‘to show how our union with Christ really does shape and impact not only everything we do and say, but how we say and do it’.
Theological and practical
The book is broadly divided into two sections. The first two chapters examine, theo-logically, what union with Christ means, while the last four chapters unpack what this looks like practically, showing how our union with Christ really does affect all aspects of our Christian lives.
This book is full of rich theology, aided by helpful quotations from men like John Calvin and John Murray, but is written in a way which is accessible to any Christian who wants to learn more of the great blessings that are theirs in Christ.
The clarity is aided by the use of helpfully chosen illustrations, which are drawn from everyday life, and the application is also driven home clearly by examples of situations into which the doctrine of our union with Christ could be applied – there are a great many scenarios, which will be very relatable to many readers. Its great strength is that it takes union with Christ from being a largely ignored doctrine to one that is vital for our Christian lives. Highly recommended.
